真誠的友誼

作者:周仕鋒 (字數:2800字作文)

When I was ten years old, I was only a naive boy in primary school。 Ken Wu, James Wong, Ben and Kramer are all my close friends 。 Every Friday evening, we were always together on the basketball court in the central city。 We often had a basketball match with other kids every week。 But every time we just joined others, we didn’t have a basketball to play because our families were too poor。 Everybody dreamed to have a basketball。Yes, only one was enough。

We all liked sports and we knew the situations of our families。 So we didn’t complain to our parents。 Everybody made a decision to get money by himself。 There were only a few ways for us to choose: scholarships and recycling the waste。

Since then, everyone of us had been more concentrated on our studies。 And we used our spare time to pick up some waste things in the street。 We were only ten years old that year, but we never gave in and never gave up。

The great time finally came。 With the efforts we made, we had gotten 15 yuan finally。 Then we bought a new and black basketball from the store。 Every week we could go to the court with happiness and proud because we had our own basketball。

Days passed。 Soon we became the students in the sixth grade。 We knew that we had fewer opportunities to play basketball together。 Just several days before the big exam, we still had a basketball match with others。 Ken was going to the U。S。 to study for years and Kramer was going to Canada soon。 James and Ben would go to a further school later。 So we thought this was the final time we could play together in our childhood。

“ We have a great time, boys。 We have been good friends for 2 years。 We are going to different places。 Maybe we won’t be able to play basketball together in 3 years。” Said Kramer sadly。

“There is somesand over there。 We can dig a hole and put the basketball into it。 No matter what the situation will be, we must meet at the court 3 years later, Okay?” Said Ben full of confidence。 At that time, we all nodded to each other and then began to dig the hole together。

Three years later, I thought that they must graduate from schools and they would go to the court。 But nobody did it。 I went to the basketball court yesterday and I found there was no basketball in that hole。 Then I smiled to the God: “ My dear God, are you making a joke for me?”

But soon I realized it doesn’t matter at all。 Though the basketball is stolen, though we can’t be hand in hand at the court right now, I still truely believe that everyone of us is in our minds, we will play basketball together a few days later。

Our friendship will be never broken forever, yes, that is true。
